WELCOME TO CHOPSFACTORY

11/4/09

I’m now doing one on one individualized lessons over the Internet using a program such as Skype that allows audio and visual communication in real time with minimal delay anywhere in the world. Skype is free to download and free to use.

Areas of Study

Some of the areas of interest that I cover include:

Developing technique for right or left hand,

Learning tunes,

Chord voicings and/or comping,

Chord melody,

Developing new harmonic ideas for solos,

Anything that you always wanted to know about playing jazz on the guitar.

Levels

I teach all levels of jazz guitar, from those just starting out to post-graduate.

Schedule

Students have the option of a single lesson(s), a regular lesson once a week or every two weeks. I can work with anyone in any time zone.

Cost

Lessons are $50 US for 45 minutes payable via Paypal.

What You Need

To have a lesson, you would need:

1) Access to a computer with a camera and microphone

2) Fast enough internet connection

3) Paypal account.

If you don’t have this at home, maybe a friend does or you have access through school? If you know others who might be interested in lessons you could arrange to do consecutive lessons at the same location.

For more information about how this works, email me and I'll be happy to answer any questions about the process.

It's been a while since I updated the site, but I haven't been sitting on the couch eating potato chips. Check out my new site agjazz.com for info on gigs, two new CDs, reviews, and more.

The topic of the next book is going to be chord melody. Thanks to all who wrote with suggestions, and hopefully I can get some of those ideas down on paper before too long. I'm looking at releasing the chord melody book by the end of the year, although it always seems to take longer than I think it will. I will keep you posted.
